Christofle

This "Biarritz" ice bucket was proposed by the Parisian goldsmith in the 1950s as part of his Gallia collection.

Its name evokes the coastal seaside resorts and other holiday resorts that were becoming increasingly popular in the post-war years, and conjures up festive, summertime imaginations where ice is used to refresh drinks... and spirits!
